Sin City, that’s what most people call it. To me, I call it home. I was born and raised in Las Vegas until the age of 13. So not only is Vegas a fun vacation for me but it’s a complete walk down memory lane of my entire childhood. This trip was extra special to me because I needed a break from life and it was my first time traveling to Las Vegas without Chris. So I had a bit of anxiety going there on my own but I was excited to make myself do it and have a blast. We planned a 3-night 3-day trip. We flew on Delta for the 4.5-hour flight from Michigan to Nevada. We arrived with a smooth flight behind us ready for Vegas fun!

We hopped in a taxi cab and went straight to our hotel. We chose MGM Grand for this trip as it’s a pretty safe hotel and located in a spot near a few of the pre-planned shows we are going to see. I took my best friend Tonya along with me. She needed the getaway as much as I did. She lost her cat about 2 months ago and was feeling sad and down. So why not book a trip to Vegas! Tonya has seen Vegas before but hasn’t really seen all of Vegas. That was my goal for the trip. To see all of the strip and what it has to offer. We managed to go inside every hotel on las vegas blvd and see the themes and beautiful design of each one.

The night we arrived I had a surprise for Tonya she did not know about! We landed around 6pm and the surprise didn’t take place until 11pm. So we had 5 hours to kill time. We walked to the New York New York hotel and decided to get some dinner at the America restaurant. They have the best-priced yummy steak and eggs! We ate and had a few drinks there.

After all that we headed over to the Excaliber hotel and casino where the surprise was going to take place! I finally told Tonya I was taking her to the male show Thunder From Down Under!!!! We had so much fun and what a great way to kick off girls weekend!

After a fun night one, we woke up ready to start the day! Today we are going to walk the entire strip and go inside every single hotel and see the design and do all the top things at that hotel. We started the day around 9am and didn’t get back to our hotel until 7pm! according to my galaxy watch, we walked 38,000 steps in one day! We packed in so much fun and adventure!

First stop was Paris Hotel, Then we went to the Flamingo to see the free wildlife habitat!

The weather was amazing. It was about 85 degrees and sunny the whole day! We headed towards Planet Hollywood next and then walked to the Link where the High Roller Ferris wheel and the zip lines are. We found the sugar factory and had to go inside. We bought vodka-infused gummy bears that were amazing. and what a selection of candy and fudge!

Next off to Madame Tussauds wax museum outside the Venetian hotel. I was super excited to go here. It was so worth it. We paid $66.00 each for the entry but that also included an outdoor gondola ride at the Venetian. So we were very excited!!! All of the wax celebrities looked so real it was cool and creepy because I swore they would jump at me and scare me. That’s how realistic they were.

Yes! Time for the Gondola Ride. This was so cool! We got to tour the Venetian and the driver sang songs throughout our ride. I’d definitely do it again!

Next on the list was the Bellagio Botanical Garden. This is always my favorite thing to see in Vegas! They change the design each season and it’s just so beautiful. If you are a flower or photo person this is a place you must visit. After the Botanical Garden head out to watch the live fountain show!

Cosmopolitan Chandelier Bar is our next stop. We heard of a drink that is not listed on their menu but has some really cool sensation effects when you drink it. We found the trend on Tik Tok and I had to try it. It is called a Lemon Verbena. It comes with a tiny flower bud inside it. So the trick is first to take a drink, then bite the Szechuan flower and chew it on both sides of your mouth, then take another drink……all of a sudden your taste buds or going crazy. your tongue is tingling and feels like it has fuzz growing on it. Then a pop-rock sensation takes over. It’s so cool and unique. The drink itself was very yummy too!

And to end Day one we went to Fly Over Vegas and took the virtual trip over Iceland! this was a cool experience. you felt like you had a vip private plane tour all through Iceland. you felt the wind, rain, speed, and some intense visual graphics. Then it wouldn’t be a girl’s vacation unless we went shopping at ROSS before calling it a night!

Days 2 and 3 were very relaxing days, We went to the pool both days to soak up the sun. We did some shopping and had lunch. We gambled a bit both days and did not come home millionaires. We also saw KA the Cirque De Solei show which was fantastic! This trip was one of my favorites. We saw so many sights and did so many new things! I am looking forward to our next trip already!
