For most traveling to a different country means passports and long flights. For me it’s a 45 minute drive either over or under the Detroit River! We took the tunnel on our way there and the Ambassador Bridge on the way home!
Our plan was to stay at Caesars Windsor for the night for some dinner, drinks, and gambling. We also had a few planned stops along the way. We went to the home of my Grandma June who was in Windsor in 1934. She moved to the United States when she was 15 years old. So I went to visit her childhood home. It was so cool to be standing there and i had so many emotions. I lost my grandma this past June to bone cancer. So being able to see where she was born and the home my great grandparents raised her in was such an amazing experience. She said she wished she could of seen it again before she passed. She didn’t get the chance to make that trip, so i’m glad I got the chance to go there and do it in her place! Here is the beautiful home on Gladstone In Windsor Canada.
Then we were off to lunch at mamo burger bar! Voted #1burgers on Canada. So of course we had to go. Let me tell you. It was soooo worth it. Absolutely Amazing!!!! We will be making day trips on weekends to eat there again! I had the Basic burger. Just cheddar cheese and bacon and mayo. It was so good. Chris tried the peanut butter and jelly burger. He was in heaven. Probably one of the best burgers we have EVER Had!
Now that our stops are done it’s time to head to the casino! Our room was huge and super nice. Great view of Belle Isle and the Detroit skyline. We spent our night gambling and laughing and just enjoying our time together. I couldn’t ask for a better trip! Looking forward to our next adventure. Where will we go next?
