This trip was much needed for Chris and myself. Most people do not know but both of our families were fighting serious medical issues for the last 4 months. My grandmother June just passed away on June 22 from bone cancer at 85 years old. That was a huge heartbreak for me, My grandma and I were very close and I miss her so much. We also found out another close relative has stage 3 melanoma. Along with Chris traveling 2 weeks a month for the last 5 months, no wonder im full of stress and anxiety. So this trip was all about fun and relaxation for both of us. Chris has been go go go for the last 5 months traveling and swamped with work, volleyball, and trying to get time for family, friends, and each other. Not to mention his other girlfriend Roxy aka Our Cat! So this get away was a chance for me to clear my mind and de stress from all the crazy things going on in life. For me it was very refreshing! I feel a little bit more like myself again and thats a good thing as i was feeling a bit lost and unsure of some things. But like they say everything will work out and it takes time.

On this trip we went to a cirque de soleil show called KA. We had front row seats for free all thanks to a game on facebook. We also had free buffets, free night club entries, free tickets to the secret garden at the mirage. We went and did some shopping st my favorite store ROSS!! Chris bought me a new purse, some new tops! We gambled and won some cash. We drank yummy mimosas and ate great food everywhere we went. The pool was sparkling and refreshing in the 102 degree sunshine. We truly had a ton of fun together. We both NEEDED that so much.

We stayed at Park MGM and it was a beautiful hotel. Gambling wasn’t high minimums, and the casino was never packed. We were there when California had the 7.1 earthquake on Friday night. I was actually asleep and the shaking woke me up from a sound sleep. It shook for a good 3 minutes. We eve felt some of the aftershocks into Saturday night.

No matter what is going on in our life whenever we are together nothing seems to matter. We laugh and have a blast and make each other feel better. I am so lucky to have a great partner in crime by my side. He is my world and im so great-full for him.
