I’m back! Wow its been a long time since i have blogged. My life has been so nuts since December 2018. So much has happened good and bad. One its now March and guess what? Yep it is still WINTER in Michigan. 34 degrees today and its officially spring. I seriously need to move either to Florida or out west because i need sunlight in my life. Its so depressing to see grey clouds, and dirty slushy roads. Id rather see blue skies, sunshine, and have a tropical drink in my hand! Life really does work in crazy ways. I have been through so many emotions these last 3 months its been overwhelming at times. I am a person that has some anxiety at times as it is, So dealing with normal life, my band life and business side of that, Plus I had a huge emotional family crisis happen, and again it’s WINTER. I also had some amazing, wonderful, fun times in the last 3 months also. I did not do any traveling this winter which is rare for me. So i think that’s why i’m feeling the winter blues a bit more then ever.

The Blunt Band has been extremely busy this winter. 2 -3 shows per month, plus practice once a week. We are getting better and all our hard work has been paying off. I’m loving the fun we all are having together as well. I feel I am growing as a singer much more now then ever. I took over the solo lead singer role back in August of 2018 and we have been trying to build up a new song list to match my voice and talent. I started with 13 songs………..Now I have 44!!!! The variety of music we are choosing is fun,upbeat music that everyone can enjoy.

Chris and I went down to Detroit for a new experience this year. We went to the Dirty Show. It was very interesting. The exotic and erotic art that was displayed for all to see and purchase was amazing! The burlesque show was good, but in my personal opinion once you watched one dance they all seemed the exact same after that. So also happening that night we won tickets to the radio station channel 95.5’s valentines day pajama party. That was a blast. We booked a hotel room at the venue where the party was being held. I also invited one of my oldest friends and his wife to join us. We had some drinks, talked, laughed, and danced a bit! It was a fun night out for sure.

My weight loss journey has been amazing. I’m down over 60 pounds now! I recently went and purchased my first swimsuit as a smaller girl and man did it feel good. I was like a kid in a candy store. I tried on so many and felt good in all of them. It made my whole journey worth it. To have that feeling of ” Hell yeah, I’m gonna rock this tiny bikini all over the beach” was just pure happiness for me. I’m heading on vacation in a couple weeks and i cannot wait to lay by the pool!!! Don’t worry i’ll be sure to share that trip with all of you!!!

Oh I also celebrated my 37th birthday on February 28th! I had a few parties…..lol. Well one i spent on stage with my band doing a show. One was spent with friends at Uptown Grill. We drank, danced, and listened to the live band. Then the other was spent with my family! They pulled off a last minute after band practice birthday party on my actual birthday! I had ice cream cake from Dairy Queen, presents, MAKE-UP and WINE!!

I am glad i survived this miserable Michigan never ending winter. I am really positive that spring and summer will be amazing! Good things coming up for me. Band shows are booked though June, I have 3 vacations coming up, a family members wedding, and trips up north to the cabin! So Happy Spring 2019 everyone!
