Roller skating is one of my favorite things to do. I have been skating since i was a little girl. Maybe 5 years old. I fell in love with it instantly. I skated pretty much 4 times in 3 days from the ages 13 to 18. Then i grew up……yep i had to do that thing called work so i couldn’t skate as much as i would like to
So many years later I found roller derby. I was instantly interested. I knew right away that i wanted to play. So i signed up. went through 4 months of training 2 days a week. Then the pressure was on. I had to skills test. I was scared to death. Especially because i had to test in a different city, on a different floor, with a different team of women i’ve never met before. They were all so kind and helpful which made me comfortable being there. I passed the skills test and went on the play roller derby for a year under the name of Spinderella Spunk! What a great experience it was. I met some great people and learned so much. Now my skating days consist of taking my nephews and teaching them the ropes. Chris will go and skate to keep me company. lol. But its not his favorite for sure. We just love the rolladium. The new renovations and the amazing staff is out of this world. This place is one of my highly recommended placed.
